SASK Haiti Medical & Dental Team

This Saskatchewan based team of 14 members will be traveling to Grand Goave, Haiti to hold a Medical clinic.
This year we have added a dentist who will provide much needed dental care. We also will be taking along some
experienced tradesman who will help with building projects for Haiti ARISE.

We aim to teach the Haitians working along side us so that their skills will in turn serve their own people. We are
grateful to everyone who has donated finances and items of goods to help us fill our many pieces of luggage in
supplying the needs of the clinic.

End of a busy week :o) Men do work!

Honest, we did do more than sit and drink coke all day. Miss you Mike!
Finally its Friday! Lots was accomplished this week both within the clinic and on the Haiti ARISE grounds. Our men, Martin and Rick, first looked after the clinic needs and then built an incinerator. Inside there is grating made out of heavy rebar and the door at the bottom is where the ashes will be removed and will also be an air intake. There was over 100 feet of welding.
Nice breeze under the mango tree.

Martin doing some cutting.
Rick doing grinding

Pastor Marc will be lighting the first match Saturday morning and we have been saving our clinic garbage for such an occasion.
This could be used as a pattern for more incinerators. It probably weighs about 1000 pounds and was moved by the skidsteer.

First project - water cooler stand
Final project - Ready for use.

  1. The title of this post made me laugh. I have to take my hat off to these men, as it's not easy to work out in that heat and humidity. So interesting to see all the different ways the team is serving God. Great idea with the incinerator I'm sure it will come in very handy. Praying for the team.
